European Folklore v American Films

The solo gig at the Path Tavern last week went really well. Surprising, because when I walked in to do a soundcheck that never happened I got charged a pound! All going to a great cause though; Sonik Youth Music Project.

Other acts included Beep Beep Ping!, Stonedyke, Orange Fridge (aka The Jobbies) and Ambulances. I thought I was going down like a chocolate submarine it was so quiet. As it turned out a lot of the Sonik Youthers were really appreciative and approached me after the set and said nice Fife things. I played some banjo songs and a couple on my new electric too. There will hopefully be a festival date in July back in KDY. Here's a set list

Patron Saint of Saints
The Holy Ghost
Francis Bacon Would Approve
Tradesman's Lovesong
The Fable
The Gadgee's Dream.

We're playing on Tuesday 13th June at Cabaret Voltaire with Jeremy Warmsley. Tickets are £5, but being a non-profit collective at the moment you can get tickets from us for £2 prior to the gig. The usual meeting place is Tron Tavern prior to the doors opening. Probably an early start for all you World Cup addicts.

Oh my God. I've just read the lyrics to A Night at the Opera and Hot Space.
