The tigerfest gig has been and gone now. Only our second gig this year so far but here's details of our next voyage on the flyers done by the Shit Trinket guys. We played Tradesman's Love Song live for the first time and people said nice things about it like, "braw!".
The Folk have agreed to look for a fourth full-time member. Keyboards, singing, and other more crazy stuff. We mixed up the banjo and guitar songs at the gig which was good, but someone else would make the set a bit more consistent. Hoping to be in Glasgow soon, so we'll keep you posted.
I'm off to see Popup, Owsley Sunshine, Jim Noir and the excellent Nut Bros. at seperate gigs this month. Speak soon and here's the setlist for the Tigerfest gig -
Patron Saint of Saints
Francis Bacon Would Approve
People Steal Things From You
Hooligan Choir
The Fable
Tradesman's Lovesong
The Gadgee's Dream.
You can now download Francis Bacon Would Approve on Folkspace with some lovely keyboards from Chelsea Cargill.

Are you the dude that used to contribute to the Americana UK site...?
I posted a couple of things on there a while back. I'd forgotten about that site actually, but there was a pretty healthy messageboard and some good reviews in there.
I thought there couldn;t be two...
I think you advertised for Edina musicians/ songwriters to get together but can;t remember why it didn;t happen.
Can't get to your gig on Tuesday but I'm interested in this collective thats going - whats the deal in getting involved (who can resist a phrase like 'banjo-pop')? Send some tunes? pledge of allegiance? Assualt course? Psychometric test - dyouprefer to be the centre of the party, etc...?
I've just recorded a few tunes with a mate who's a sound engineer - waiting for the CD to come back - interested? Kev.
Think I've got you remail address so I'll contact you this week and have a chat.
Ok - cool.
Interesting website with a lot of resources and detailed explanations.
